On paper, the Bucks have no chance against the Trail Blazers tonight...

(WNFL) - On paper, the Milwaukee Bucks have no chance against the Portland Trail Blazers tonight at home.  Milwaukee is 2-and-7 with the N-B-A’s longest losing streak at five games.  The Trail Blazers are 9-and-2, with the league’s longest winning string at seven.  But strange things can happen when they “actually play the games” – so the Bucks’ chances for an upset cannot be counted out.  Injuries have been Milwaukee’s biggest problem.  The Bucks do not have much depth, and it shows.  They’ve lost by an average of almost 15 points in each of their last five games.  Portland is coming off a 10-point win over Brooklyn on Monday night.  Former Marquette star Wesley Matthews had a season-high 24 points in that game for the Blazers.  Bucks’ forward Ersan Ilyasova is listed as probable for tonight, after coming off an ankle injury. Forward Caron Butler is also probable, after spraining a shoulder a week ago.  Guard O-J Mayo has scored 20 points in four of Milwaukee’s last five games, but he has not had much of a supporting cast.  Bucks’ starters average 52 points a game, 29th lowest in the N-B-A.
