WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) - Fall fun is here in Wausau this weekend at Oak Island Park.
It's the 6th annual Harvest Fest with Wausau Events. Director Kari Rasmussen says this is a real chance for families to get together and have some fun. "We'll have horsedrawn wagon rides, a small petting zoo, the Central Wisconsin Children's Museum will be doing crafts, it's going to be a great day."
Rasmussen says the big draw will be pumpkin carving. "Kids ages 10 and under can get a free pumpkin. And we're not talking baby pumpkins, they're going to be big ones. Ministry has been doing that for the last few years and people just love that."
Rain is in the forecast, but Rasmussen says they'll be running the event rain or shine. The Drovers will be performing all day.
The show is free to the public and runs Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm.
