RACINE, WI (WTAQ) - Authorities hope new technology will identify a woman found dead 14 years ago in a Racine County cornfield.
Officials called her "Jane Doe." Her body was exhumed Wednesday for a fresh examination at the Milwaukee County medical examiner's office.
She was listed as 5'8" and 120 pounds when she was found dead in the town of Raymond in July of 1999.
Investigators say they hope to learn more about what happened to the woman just before her death, with the goals of identifying both the woman and those who may be responsible.
