WABENO, Wis (WSAU) - An investigation into a child’s concussion has led to attempted homicide charges against a Wabeno man.
Forest County Sheriff’s deputies and a rescue squad responded to the Windfall Street residence in Wabeno October 18th to investigate a 19-month-old toddler with concussion symptoms. As a result of that investigation, deputies have arrested 29-year-old Brandon Brunette. Brunette is charged with child neglect resulting in great bodily harm, attempted 1st degree abuse of a child causing bodily harm, and attempted homicide.
Brunette had an initial appearance in Forest County Court Wednesday. He remains in jail, unable to post a $100,000 cash bond.
