30 Seconds to Mars and Green Day have racked up three nominations each for this year's MTV Europe Music Awards, which will be handed out November 10 at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam.
30 Seconds to Mars' nominations come in the categories of Best Video -- for “Up in the Air,” Biggest Fans, and Best Alternative. They'll compete in the latter category against Arctic Monkeys , Fall Out Boy , Franz Ferdinand and Paramore . Green Day scored a nod for Best Live and will battle Black Sabbath , Kings of Leon , Queens of the Stone Age and The Killers for Best Rock. In addition, Green Day will face off against a number of rock acts, including fun. , No Doubt , Garbage , Linkin Park and The Black Keys , for the Best World Stage award.
Daft Punk is up for Best Electronic, while their hit single, “Get Lucky,” will compete for Best Song. Imagine Dragons and Bastille each scored two nominations and will be facing off against each other in both the Best New and Best Push categories.
