KRONENWETTER, Wis (WSAU) Kronenwetter village leaders are still undecided on how to pay for sewer and drainage improvements. Last week they decided against making homeowners in one neighborhood pay for the project.
Now the village says it will cover 55-percent of the total cost, or about $320,000. The rest would be covered by a special neighborhood assessment.
Last night homeowners who live near the sewer project spoke out against it. Some say they don't have flooding problems in their basement, and don't want to cover the project cost.
Another public hearing must be held on the issue, and the date for it hasn't been scheduled yet.
