MADISON, Wis. (WSAU) - A Mosinee man that had two of the guns stolen from a Tomahawk business last October is going to prison.
31-year-old Julian Alvarez was sentenced yesterday to five years in a federal prison. He had pled guilty to the charges July 16th. Judge Barbara Crabb gave him the five year sentence for being a convicted felon in possession of firearms.
Police found four loaded firearms in Alvarez’s bedroom last October 5th. Two of the weapons were stolen from Statton’s General Store in Tomahawk three days before his arrest. Crabb took Alvarez’s history of criminal activity and drug abuse into consideration at sentencing.
