MARSHFIELD, Wis. (WSAU) -- The line-up for this year’s Central Wisconsin State Fair in Marshfield was announced at a press conference on Thursday.
Fair manager Heidi Bourne-Smith says chart-topping country star David Nail, pop-rocker Howie Day, and classic crooners Ronnie Milsap and The Marshall Tucker Band are just a few of the acts giving this year’s fair the variety it’s known for. Bourne-smith says she’s, “extremely excited! We’re doing some things differently here at the fair, and I just think it’s going to be very successful.”
Hot on the heels of his number one hit “Whatever She Wants”, David Nail opens the fair on August 27th.
Thursday, August 28th finds pop star Howie Day in front of the grandstand, along with special guests Anna Nalick, Teddy Geiger, and Tyler Hilton.
Classical country rockers The Marshall Tucker Band take to the stage on Friday, August 29th; and classic country crooner Ronnie Milsap steps into the spotlight on Saturday night August 30th.
Closing out the grandstand line-up on Sunday, August 31st is alternative rock/bluegrass band Green River Ordinance with special guest SHEL. All general grandstand seating is free with admissions to the fairgrounds, but reserved seating is also available for the Wednesday through Saturday night shows for $17.25 per seat. Those tickets go on sale April 14th starting at 10 am by going online or by calling the fair office at 715-387-1261.
