WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) -- A Wausau man has been charged with illegally claiming wages for a job he no longer worked at.
48-year-old Timothy Stumborg is accused of submitting fraudulent timecards through a temporary employment agency long after he stopped working as a temp at Marathon Electric. Sheriff’s investigators say the stopped working there last fall, but kept submitting time sheets until April 12th. The effort paid Stumborg $22,653 dollars he did not earn.
Stumborg is currently free on a $10,000 signature bond awaiting his next court appearance.
