SCHOFIELD, Wis (WSAU) A drunk driver went through an intersection and hit the side of a nearby house on Easter Sunday morning in Schofield.
A police report says the driver did not stop at the corner of Kurth and Spring Streets around 3am. The car hit the home's outer brick facade and caused only minor damage. The residents inside were asleep at the time. There were no injuries.
The driver was arrested for OWI and texting-while-driving by Everest-Metro police. Her name and blood-alcohol level will become public during a court appearance today.

There was a separate crash around 8:30 Sunday morning on Grand Avenue in Rothschild. A driver crashed her SUV into a utility pole. The driver wasn't hurt. Rothschild PD is still investigating the cause of the crash.
