ROTHSCHILD, Wis. (WSAU) -- The annual Business Expo was hosted by the Wausau Area Chamber of Commerce Thursday. About 200 exhibitors showcased their businesses at the Patriot Center with well over 1,000 attendees.
State representative Mandy Wright says this is the sort of support that local businesses should be taking part in. "So many good people are out networking, making deals, figuring how they can help each each and it really is a great example of the community working together on a local level supporting each other."
Wausau City Council President Romey Wagner says the business support the expo brings is tremendous. "The networking for people who want a contact for something, this an opportunity for you to take your business ideas or your current business out to the masses, to have a booth and have people come and ask you about it."
State representative Mandy Wright says the state can only bring business growth so far. "We can of course be writing legislation that's helpful, but in the end, if you don't have that local, if you don't have that local network, it doesn't matter."
