WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) -- A dog that attacked a woman and her Chihuahua in downtown Wausau two months ago will be put down.
A Marathon county judge ruled the pit bull was vicious, and ordered the animal euthanized at the owners expense. The dog owner, whose name has not been released, was also given citations for not having a dog license, a leash, or vaccinations for the animal.
56-year-old Cindy Ryder was walking her Chihuahua June 19th on Washington Street’s 900 block when the pit bull attacked her and killed the Chihuahua.
Ryder suffered several bites, cuts, and punctures from the attack.
