STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WSAU) -- A popular central Wisconsin golf course will re-open next month after a 20-month-long renovation project. SentryWorld in Stevens Point has been closed for work on the course and inside the SentryWorld multipurpose facility.
Several special events and charity golf outings highlight the grand re-opening. One of them is the Golf United for United Way, where eighteen foursomes are being auctioned off online Tuesday, August 19th through September 12th. All proceeds go to support United Way of Portage County. SentryWorld will invite former pass holders and golf league players to participate in charity events throughout September. The course will be back to full operation next spring.
The Sports Complex is now called the Fieldhouse, and has been completely redesigned to accommodate diners, the pro shop, large group sessions, and weddings. The new SentryWorld restaurant will open to the public on September 22, with the inaugural fish fry to be held Friday, September 26.
Information on the Golf United! auction can be found online at their website.
