WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) The man who sold his friend Michael Dixon the heroin that led him to crash his car and be killed was sentenced in Marathon County Court on Friday to 7 1/2 years in prison. Kyle Kennedy apologized for selling Dixon the drugs and for the death of Dixon and serious injury to Dixon's 4 year old son.
The accident happened last March 23rd on Thomas Street, the day after Dixon got out of a drug rehab program. He injected the heroin from Kennedy and then drove into a bridge abutment and was killed. His son survived but suffered brain damage in the accident.
Kennedy was found guilty back on November 4th.
