MOSINEE, Wis (WSAU) There were two roll-over crashes on I-39 yesterday. Both are being blamed on icy and snow-covered roads in the area.
The first happened in the southbound lanes near the Mosinee exit. The vehicle went into the ditch and rolled over at least once. The driver escaped serious injury.
The second accident happened along the same stretch of highway in the southbound lanes. One of the two people in that vehicle suffered a broken wrist.
More than 100 crashes were reported in Portage County yesterday. And during the afternoon Waupaca County sheriff Brad Hardel was recommending against unnecessary travel because of dangerous driving conditions.
