BREAKING NEWS / UPDATE: Wausau police confirm Stephanie Low's body was found in Wabeno; person of interest Kristopher Torgerson to be charged with homicide

WAUSAU, Wis (WSAU)  Wausau police say Stephanie Low's body has been found. Police revealed at a news conference today that a person of interest in her death, Kristopher Torgerson, led police to her body on September 19th. The body has since been positively ID'ed by the state crime lab. The autopsy lists 'homicide' as the cause of death. Tigers, Cubs, Whitecaps Fall, White Sox and Holland Millers get Wins

UNDATED (WHTC) -- The Tigers will try to salvage their four games series with a win today against Cleveland.  Since the All-Star break, the Tigers have lost three in a row to the Indians.  Drew VerHagen allowed three runs over five innings to take the loss in his major league debut, 6-2.  The bullpen fell short in the second game with reliever Joe Nathan giving up 3 runs in the ninth with the final score, 5-2.  Two five-win pitchers will get the start for each squad, as Drew Smyly takes the hill for the Tigers and Josh Tomlin gets the start for Cleveland.  Broadcast time on 1450 WHTC get underway at 12:40 P.M.


The Cubs fell to the Diamondbacks on Saturday, 9-3.  Travis Wood was tagged for five earned runs in five-and-a-third-innings to fall to 7-and-9.  Starlin Castro plated a run in the loss while Welington Castillo went deep for Chicago.  The Cubs and the D-backs play the third game in their weekend series with Jake Arrieta taking the mound for the Cubs and Josh Collmenter will toe the rubber for Arizona.


The White Sox got the win on Saturday over Houston, 4-3.  Hector Noesi tossed six frames and gave up three runs to improve to 4-and-7 with Zach Putnam notching his third save.  Tyler Flowers collected three hits and drove in two. Adam Eaton went 3-for-4 in the win with Conor Gillaspie plating a run.  The three game series between the White Sox and the Astros wraps up this afternoon.


The White Caps seven-game winning streak was snapped on Saturday but it took 15 innings for it to happen.  The first games of the series opener against the Burlington Bees took four hours and 36 minutes to complete when the Bees Eric Aguilera’s tie-breaking home run led to a 4-3 Whitecaps’ loss at Fifth Third Ballpark.  The Whitecaps continue their six-game home stand at Fifth Third Ballpark this afternoon.   JohnMaciel is scheduled to pitch for West Michigan.


Motor City Pride didn't stand a chance on Saturday, as Holland Millers captured a blowout 15-3 win to sweep the series at Adrian College.  Holland Millers went up for good in the third, scoring four runs on a two-run double by Pat Gaudard and two singles by Chris Davis and Hunter Prince.  The Millers also won the first game of Saturday’s doubleheader, 10-5.
