KRONENWETTER, Wis. (WSAU) -- Vandalism and theft crimes have been more frequent lately in Kronenwetter.
Kronenwetter police say spray paint was used to put graffiti along the south side of the Sunset Park shelter last Friday, and on garbage cans Saturday. Officers have found more graffiti on the Kowalski Road bridge.
Officers have also found several stop signs knocked down by vehicles, so the road name signs could be stolen from the signposts.
Police don’t know if it’s one person, or a group of people causing damage and stealing signs. They do know the activities happen late at night or early in the morning.
Kronenwetter parks have a 10:00 p.m. curfew time, and juveniles have an 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. curfew as well.
Anyone with information about the thefts and vandalism incidents should contact the Kronenwetter Police Department at (715) 693-4215 or the Marathon County Crimestoppers website.
