WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) -- The Wisconsin Valley Fair opens up tomorrow and organizers say Marathon Park is ready for the week.
Fair administrator Maria Budnik says exhibits move in today and tomorrow for the fair's opening. "Kid of a nice day to come in, kinda see some of the exhibits coming in. It's a little bit of a slower day, but admission is only 5 dollars until 4 o clock." Budnik says the exhibits are really the backbone of the fair experience. "The kids work hard all year on these projects. And not only do they work hard on them, it's a really great learning experience for them."
Budnik says there's a new addition to the fair that's for the whole family. "We're having an extreme canine stunt dog show up on our west end. It's free to the public, there are three shows daily, so we're excited to have them be a part of our fair this year."
The midway is set to open up Tuesday evening with unlimited ride wristband night starting at 4 pm. Country star Josh Thompson is set for Tuesday night's grandstand entertainment at 7:30
