WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. (WSAU) -- A Wisconsin Rapids man accused of raping a 13-year-old has reached a plea deal in the case.
34-year-old Anthony Fox pleaded not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect in Wood County court on Wednesday. He's facing two counts of first degree sexual assault of a child and second degree sexual assault.
Fox was arrested and brought in earlier this month after the victim reported being assaulted July 12. Police say the girl was woken up by Fox and was afraid he was going to hit her.
Fox remains in the Wood County jail on a probation hold and a signature bond. He'll be back in court for a conference September 19th.
