WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) -- Marathon County officials have confirmed that remains found in a January house explosion the town of Wausau were those of the homeowner.

43-year-old Jesse Jehn lived alone in the home, which deputies say was deliberately rig to explode. Crews were called out the morning of January 11th to find a house fully engulfed in flames and heavily damaged. They say five explosive devices were "chained" together in the basement of the home, and were rigged to go off simultaneously.

Other devices were found in the yard set to fuses that may have been intended to harm first responders to the scene. The Marathon County bomb squad was called out to dispose of the devices before investigators could sift through the property.

No one else was injured in the explosion.
