PHILLIPS, Wis (WSAU) Several job-related complaints have been filed against David Sonntag, the police chief in Phillips. One involves an allegation of falsifying a report after a drug raid. The complaint says a green leafy substance was found at a home that tested positive as marijuana. But another officer claims the test was never performed.
Another complain says Sonntag falsified a mileage report to and from Madison for a meeting he didn't attend.
Another complaint says he used his personal vehicle to pull over a car that was driving erratically. His car is not authorized for police use. Price County sheriffs deputies cleared the driver of any wrongdoing.
Phillips mayor Charles Peterson says there will be a hearing on March 11. Chief Sonntag has not commented on the allegations.
