Maybe Black Sabbath 's feeling guilty for having been inactive for so long. The band continues making up for lost time by headlining a show at the British Summer Time festival this July.
Sabbath will play their first-ever performance at London's Hyde Park on July 4. Perhaps in a nod to America's Independence Day, Ozzy Osbourne , Tommy Iommi and Geezer Butler will be joined on the Great Oak Stage by Soundgarden and Faith No More . Other acts performing that day include Motörhead , Soulfly and more.
"The first time I came to London I didn't have a pot to piss in and I spent the advance I got for the first album on a new pair of shoes and some Brut aftershave," Ozzy says in a statement about the show. "Returning almost 50 years on, we are doing a it better for ourselves so I may even splash out on some new aftershave before taking to the stage at Hyde Park."
Tickets for the show go on sale Friday and start at 69 pounds, about $115. Check the event website for more info.
