MARSHFIELD, Wis. (WSAU) -- Labor Day often marks the end of summer, and it always marks the final day of the Central Wisconsin State Fair in Marshfield! Fair manager Adam Fischer says it’s also “Veterans Tribute Day” at the fair with $5.00 gate admission for adults. In front of the grandstand on Monday, it’s time for “the roar of engines” with a demolition derby, a tractor pull, and even a “semi pull”. Fischer says there’s even more new things planned for in front of the grandstand. According to Fischer, “There’ll be a lot of new elements. I don’t want to give away too much because we’re going to do some surprises that day, but come out and watch, and see what’s going to happen.” The Demolition Derby is the traditional close to the fair, and that begins at 5:30. Fischer says that as soon as the gates close Monday night, planning for next year starts.
