TOMAHAWK, Wis. (WSAU) -- A woman escaped from a partially submerged vehicle without injury in Lincoln County. Sheriff’s deputies say the 24-year-old driver was on Tannery Road near Green Box Road in the Town of Bradley Friday morning when she had a medical emergency and drove off the roadway. Another person called 9-1-1 to report the vehicle partially underwater, but the caller couldn’t tell if the driver was still in the vehicle.
Deputies arrived and a short time later, the driver returned to the scene. She explained the medical emergency and what happened in the crash. There was no alcohol involved.
Tomahawk firefighters and emergency medical staff responded to the scene along with Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department deputies at about 8:00 a.m.
