Tom Morello has a lot on his mind: his new solo album The Atlas Underground , more Prophets of Rage material, the general state of the world. One thing he doesn't seem to be occupied with, though, is whether or not Rage Against the Machine will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame next year.

The pioneering rap-metallers are among the nominees for the Rock Hall in 2019, but Morello tells   Billboard that "there has not been discussion" among the band's members regarding either the nomination, or whether they'd attend or perform at the ceremony should they be chosen for induction.

Morello, bassist Tim Commerford and drummer Brad Wilk currently play together in Prophets of Rage, while reclusive vocalist Zack de la Rocha last popped up in 2016 to guest on a Run the Jewels song. All four members haven't played together publicly since 2011.

The other 2019 Rock Hall nominees include Radiohead , Def Leppard and The Cure . The inductees are expected to be announced in December, and the induction ceremony takes place in March.

In the meantime, Morello is focused a new Prophets of Rage album for 2019, and a "proper tour" in support of  The Atlas Underground , during which he'll "bring these songs to actual life in a very exciting and challenging way."

Morello adds that some of the guests on The Atlas Underground  -- which features Rise Against 's Tim McIlrath , Mumford & Sons ' Marcus Mumford and Portugal. the Man , among others -- could show up on the tour.

"You can't expect Mumford and Sons and Rise Against and Wu-Tang Clan and Killer Mike to be there at every show," Morello says. "We want to create a show where, when guests arrive, it will be fantastic but you will not miss [the guests] if they're not there."
