The CEO
and their song "Redemption" were featured today on The Artist Spotlight. The song is the title track to their debut album which will be out later this year.
1. How did The CEO form? The CEO started as the guys in our national touring Ozzy Osbourne tribute band writing original songs in our spare time for fun. We’ve all written original music since our earliest days. We jived so well in the cover band that we decided to see how well the chemistry worked in with our own songs. The demos caught the attention of Sevendusts’ Vinnie Hornsby who introduced us to producer Elvis Baskette. Elvis agreed to take us on and we wrote the new album from scratch during Dec/Jan 2019-20. It’s really just a group of friends of various backgrounds and age groups that love playing live together and that bring a unique blend of classic and modern influences.
2. What was the inspiration or message behind "Redemption" ? Redemption is simply about those groups that constantly try to divide the masses and pit them against one another. The more they try to make us hate another group, the less we pay attention to why they are doing so. It’s a call to wake up, rise up and reject the division and hate.
