  • Yeah, part of that big asteroid HIT EARTH THIS MORNING!

    Posted by Lunchbox

Today there will be a large asteroid that will JUST miss the Earth. This thing is big enough to level any major city on the planet. It will be only 17,200 miles from Earth today...for example, most of our satellites are 17,200 miles from Earth. So this thing will fly BETWEEN Earth and the satellites.

Now many in the science community have been asking why we don't have a plan for this. Well, it's because all of our NASA money is now being spent on the rocks of the Middle East, instead of the deadly rocks in space. Holy hell, NASA didn't even discover this beast asteroid, freaking BILL NYE did! SERIOUSLY!

Try to ignore the ignorant woman in the clip, the point is that Bill Nye is now our space program.

  • So Bieber wants to fight The Black Keys

    Posted by Lunchbox

After the Grammy Awards nominations were released, Justin Bieber did what most small children do when they don't get what they want, he threw a fit. He wanted nominations, and Grammy Awards. But, he didn't get any.

After the Grammy Awards, one of the big winners of the night, Patrick Carney of The Black Keys, was asked how he felt about Bieber being left out. He responded like I would expect a rock musician too when asked about Bieber:

"I mean, I don't know. Grammys are, like, for music, not for money, and he's making a lot of money. I don't know, he should be happy, I guess."

Yes, Bieber does what he does to make money, not to make music that is considered GOOD. So that should have been the end...but then 'lil Bieber cracked this on Twitter:

Really Bieber? I don't even think you could fight your way out of a paper-bag, and now you want to fight a grown-ass man? Then again, if the "Tighten Up" video is true, small children could beat up The Black Keys, so this might be a fair fight after all...

  • Katy Perry won the Grammy Awards

She may not have been up for any awards, but she should have won every Best Duo of Group Award...Katy Perry won the night at the Grammy Awards. She was the most talked about singer of the night, and here's why:

Yesterday, here at the Rock 94.7 World Headquarters, our security camera caught something in our break room. It started off normal,

Garren from our Digital Dept went to get a pop out of the machine. But then the machine didn't take his quarter, and our machine will SHOOT your quarter back out at you, so he chases it across the break room. But when he comes back...well, just watch:

  • Who remembers these!?!?!?!

    Posted by Lunchbox

OK, so you may have to be a 90's kid like me to fully enjoy this...but when I was a kid, it didn't get any better. These things changed my life:

I checked out what they're going for on eBay, and even though they're not THAT expensive, it is impressive how many bids there are! If you don't use eBay often, you'll see a lot of "Buy It Now" stuff listed that no one ever buys, but to have an acution that actually has bids, that means you have something that is in demand. And these babies are in demand!

  • Ninja ear-buds

I'm not sure if I'd wear these, but I'm sure some of you would...

  • Volbeat has just added to their lineup!

Volbeat is getting set to drop their new album, Outlaw Gentlemen and Shady Ladies, later this year. Today they gave us cover art:

And they told us they have a new member of the band...FORMER ANTHRAX GUITARIST ROB CAGGIANO!

Adding to what has already become one of the most in-demand rock bands on the globe. Get ready for a BIG 2013 from these guys!

  • Who caused the blackout at the Super Bowl? Watch this video

    Posted by Lunchbox

If you stepped away from the Super Bowl when the blackout struck, you might have missed the reason it happened. At least we have this video...

    YES! It was The Undertaker!

Reports say this man here was running away from the power room...

    OOOOOOooooooooOOOOOOOOOOoooooooo AAAAhhhhhhHHHHHHhhhhHHHH

  • Great video from 2011 making its way around the internet

    Posted by Lunchbox

Seeing a rock star enjoy another band's set is always cool. Its different from an actor talking about seeing a movie that someone was in, because you actually have to go to a show to see a band perform.

There is also something to be said about an artist who will not just use their fame to get backstage to watch the show, but to actually pay money and get down on the floor for a show...insert Dave Grohl

There's a video making its way around online this morning of Dave rocking out HARD at a Soundgarden show in 2011. Check it out here...

  • So I'm becoming a HUGE JJ Watt fan...

    Posted by Lunchbox

Former Wisconsin Badger, and current Huston Texan, JJ Watt has a lot of fans. Including some young kids. A video got posted earlier this month to YouTube of a 6-year-old girl who was VERY upset...

A lot of kids wish they were 25, but not for her reasons. She was SO broken up about not being able to marry Mr. Watt, she was crying! It was so touching, that JJ Watt went out of his way to find the family, so THIS could happen

Yes, JJ "proposed" to her and "married" her for a day. Good guy JJ Watt. Here's more on the story
