Metallica news aplenty, Lars accepts drum battle, James bear show online, and live video

Will Ferrell and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith had a drum off on the The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last month.

After raising over $300,000 for charity with the first battle, Smith and Ferrell issued a new challenge for another battle this time with Lars Ulrich of Metallica. Here and here

Ulrich then issued a statement to Spin magazine accepting the challenge. Here and here and here and here .

Smith has since responded on Facebook, writing: "Two pieces of advice for Lars: Leave the double bass drums at home and load up on cowbells!" Here

A date and time for the showdown has yet to be revealed.
