FRIENDSHIP, Wis (WSAU) Bond was set at $10,000 for an Adams County man who’s accused in a Christmas-day stabbing.

Prosecutors say police were called to a home in Belle Prairie around 2:30 Christmas morning. They say 51-year-old Harold Mason was injured. He was taken to a hospital in Baraboo, and has since been airlifted to U.W. Hospital in Madison, where he’s in critical condition.

Adams County sheriffs deputies arrested 24-year-old Zachery Beers of Wisconsin Dells. He’s charged with first degree reckless injury, domestic-abuse battery, and disorderly conduct. The relationship between the victim and suspect is not known, and prosecutors say they’re still investigating the events leading up to the stabbing.

Beers will be back in court January 23rd for a preliminary hearing.
