If you’re concerned Slipknot won’t be returning next year because the band recently parted ways with drummer Joey Jordison , you have nothing to fear. Frontman Corey Taylor took to his Twitter account on Sunday to assure fans that the guys will be making new music in the new year.
Taylor tweeted , “For those who think The Knot are falling apart, you are greatly and sadly mistaken. Bring On 2014. Great Things Are Coming. Stay Tuned...”
Earlier this month, Slipknot posted a note on their website to reveal they’d be moving forward on a follow-up to 2008’s All Hope Is Gone without Jordison. "It is with great pain but quiet respect that, for personal reasons, Joey Jordison and Slipknot are parting ways,” wrote the band in a joint statement. “We all wish Joey the best in whatever his future holds. We understand that many of you will want to know how and why this has come to be, and we will do our best to respond to these questions in the near future.”
Jordison has yet to issue a statement about the split.
