WABENO, WI (WXPR) -  A 70 year old Appleton man has been killed in a Forest county snowmobile crash.

A DNR warden confirms the accident happened Monday near Kuffner Road in the town of Wabeno. The call for aid came in shortly before 4:30 p.m. The lone driver was on a public trail when his snowmobile struck a tree.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. A bump along the trail is believed to have contributed to the crash.
