MOSINEE, Wis. (WSAU) - Mosinee Community Theatre's production of the musical Chicago continues tonight at the Creske Center.
Director Keith Dupuis says people should recognize a lot of the play from the movie. "The Richard Gene character Billy Flynn is a smart alec attorney defending both Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly who were famous murderers of the time. It talks about trials and tribulations of the time and who's screwing who." The original 1975 musical was a hit for Bob Fosse and featured a young Jerry Orbach as Billy Flynn.
Dupuis says it's going to be a big show for Mosinee. "This is the best cast, the most talented cast we've ever had. Between the costuming the orchestra and everything, it's just a really good time and you'll definitely enjoy it."
Tickets are available at the door or online at www.showtix4u.com. The play continues tonight and Saturday at 7 and Sunday at 2.
