It appears that Mumford & Sons bassist Ted Dwane ’s recent emergency surgery to a remove a blood clot from his brain was a success. Banjo player Winston Marshall took to his Twitter account on Tuesday night to deliver the good news, tweeting , “Ted is recovering nicely from surgery. He's a brave little boy. Thanks for all your support. We are very grateful.”

Mumford & Sons made the announcement on their website earlier Tuesday that Dwane would need surgery, stating that he "has been feeling unwell for a few days, and yesterday he was taken to a hospital to receive emergency treatment. The scans revealed a blood clot on the surface of his brain that requires an operation.”

While the band was forced to postpone three scheduled concert dates so Dwane can recover from the operation, the group is expected to resume their North American tour with an appearance at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival this weekend.
