MERRILL, Wisc (WSAU) A Merrill man will stand trial on charges that he sent sexual text-messages to at least four under-age girls. 35-year-old Corey Adams was on probation from an unrelated case when police learned about the test messages that were being sent to girls between the ages of 10 and 16. Yesterday a judge ruled there's enough evidence to proceed to trial.
Adams had been held in the Lincoln County jail on $35,000 bond since his arrest last week. He faces 10 felony charges.
Prosecutors say he met with some of his victims, and showed them porn and provided marijuana.
Adams will enter a plea during his next court appearance. His lawyer has also requested a new judge in the case.
