If you can't make it out to see Roger Waters perform this Wednesday at the 2013 annual edition of the annual Stand Up for Heroes benefit in New York City, you'll still be able to catch all the action online. The fundraiser, which supports the Bob Woodruff Foundation's efforts to help wounded service members, veterans and their families, will be streaming live at the organization's official YouTube channel and at Google.com/+Stand4Heroes .
The Stand Up for Heroes benefit, which will be held at The Theater at Madison Square Garden, is part of the annual New York Comedy Festival. In addition to a performance by Waters, the show will feature a set by Bruce Springsteen and stand-up by Bill Cosby , Jerry Seinfeld , Jon Stewart and Jim Gaffigan . A number of surprise guest stars also will take part in the festivities.
Waters made his debut appearance at the event last year, while Springsteen has participated in every previous Stand Up for Heroes installment. As he did in 2012, the founding Pink Floyd singer/bassist will perform with a band made up of wounded active military personnel and veterans.
The aforementioned Google event, dubbed a Google+ Hangout, will offer an interactive element that will allow the participating celebrities and military members to chat with fans online about the benefit and the issues affecting wounded armed forces personnel.
