Brewers Beat Cardinals In Final Home Game

MILWAUKEE, WI (LEARFIELD-WSAU) The Milwaukee Brewers won their home season finale last night, 6-to-4 over Saint Louis.  The Brewers took a 4-nothing lead after two innings and hung on from there.     Norichika Aoki doubled, singled, and walked -- and he scored three times.  Aramis Ramirez, Carlos Gomez, Jonathan Lucroy, and Scooter Gennett also had R-B-I's for the Crew, which ended a three-game losing streak.    Matt Carpenter hit the game's only home run, a solo shot for the Cardinals.  Saint Louis had clinched a playoff spot earlier in the day when Washington lost.  Still, Brewers' manager Ron Roenicke said the game had a playoff atmosphere that his team will benefit from in the future.     Wily Peralta got the win, giving up three runs on five hits with five walks in five-plus innings.  He's now 11-and-15, after winning three-of-his-last-four starts.  Jim Henderson gave up a run in the ninth, but left the potential tying run on first to get his 26th save.    Joe Kelly took the loss, giving up six runs -- three earned -- in seven innings.  He's now 9-and-5.  The Cardinals took still lead the National League Central by two-and-a-half games over both Pittsburgh and Cincinnati.    The Brewers lost two-of-three to the Redbirds this weekend, and they closed out their Miller Park schedule at 37-and-44.  Milwaukee will open its final week of the season tonight at Atlanta.  Right-hander Marco Estrada faces Braves' left-hander Mike Minor.
