WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. (WSAU) -- A man accused in a pair of murders has pleaded no contest to arson in an unrelated case.
54-year-old Joseph B. Reinwand was accused of trying to defraud his insurance carrier by intentionally setting fire to his house in October of 2010 and bail jumping for violating his probation while doing so.
Reinwand will spend a total of 5 years in prison for the two charges, but that time will be served concurrently to time he's already serving on burglary, forgery, fraud and weapons charges.
Reinwand is also facing a pair of murder trials at the same time, one in Wood County and one in Portage County. He is accused of shooting his daughter’s boyfriend Dale Meister to death in his Wisconsin Rapids home in March of 2008, and of the shooting death of his wife Pamela in 1984.
Reinwand will be back in court for motion hearings on the Meister case September 16th.
