Three teen girls arrested on drug charges

Dayvina Johnson

IRMA, Wis. (WSAU) -- What started as a traffic stop Friday afternoon led to the arrest of three young teenaged girls on drug charges.

It started when a driver on Highway 51 near Irma called police to report a speeding pickup had nearly run her off the road. A Lincoln County deputy caught the truck and pulled them over near Tomahawk.

The deputy smelled marijuana, and the Tomahawk K9 confirmed drugs in the truck.

The 15-year-old driver from Black River Falls was taken to a secure juvenile detention center and faces charges of obstructing an officer and driving without a license.

Another 15-year-old from Port Edwards is in secure detention charged with obstructing an officer and party to the crime of distributing cocaine. She had a bag with 37 grams worth about $4,000 under her pant leg.

The 18-year-old from Argonne, Dayvina Johnson, is in the Lincoln County jail charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, distributing drugs to a minor, possessing drug paraphernalia, and using an underaged person to commit a crime. She will have a bond hearing Monday afternoon in Lincoln County court.
