Drug trafficking family makes court appearance

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) -- Four more people made an appearance before a judge Friday after being arrested following a drug raid.

56-year-old Jerald Gould of Mosinee is charged with maintaining a drug house, possession of drug paraphernalia, and has a past marijuana conviction.

His three sons are also facing charges.

25-year-old Jacob Gould is already charged with trafficking heroin and marijuana, and investigators believe he’s responsible for supplying and injecting heroin into 19-year-old Damianne Carisa Miller, who nearly died of an overdose.

27-year-old Jerrod Gould and 22-year-old Jeremy Gould are both charged with party to the crimes of possessing marijuana with intent to deliver, maintaining a drug trafficking place, and possession of paraphernalia.

Assistant District Attorney Lance Leonard says he's not surprised by the number of charges. "People don't just sell one type of drug, so when we're investigating a heroin investigation, it's not unusual we find other controlled substances being trafficked by other individuals."

Leonard says the charges against Mohr stem from a cellular phone missing from the possession of one of the other suspects.  "This defendant made some statements that she had in fact possessed that cellular phone, and was attempting to delete the memory that was continued on that phone, so certainly that was the basis for harboring or aiding a felon."

Mohr is Jacob Gould’s mother, and told Jacob during a phone call from jail that she deleted all of the messages from his phone “in case they came for a warrant for that.” The call from the jail was recorded.

Leonard says the charges all stem from a search warrant obtained after Damianne Carisa Miller was left in the parking lot at Saint Claire’s Hospital while overdosed on heroin.  “Based on the evidence located in the execution of that warrant, several felony charges were filed, including possession with intent to deliver THC or marijuana, as well as maintaining a drug trafficking place."

Jerrald Gould and Marsha Mohr are free on a $10,000 signature bond. Jerrad Gould’s bond is $1,500 cash plus a $10,000 signature bond. Jeremy Gould’s bond was set at $500 cash plus a $10,000 signature bond.
