RHINELANDER, Wis (WSAU) A man who stole several vehicles after being released from jail is western Wisconsin was spotted in Rhinelander, but is still on-the-run today. He's 38-year-old Eric Hall. He was released from prison on June 10th, and is accused of stealing several vehicles in Chippewa County.
Authorities say he was almost caught last week. Instead he fled on foot during a traffic stop and hid in the woods. He was spotted in Rhinelander, driving a truck that was stolen from a volunteer firefighter. It has a special siren and distinctive pink-camo side-rockers.
Two firearms were taken from one of the vehicles he stole, so Hall is considered armed and dangerous. If you know his whereabouts, call 9-1-1.
Police are not sure if he's trying to get to Vilas County, or if he's fleeing to Minneapolis. His mug-shot is posted on wsau.com.
