WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis (WSAU)   Renaissance Learning, the Wisconsin Rapids educational software company, was sold to Hellman & Friedman, a private investment company. Earlier this year Google Capital invested $40-million in the company.

The sale price was $1.1-billion. The company had been owned by Primera, also an investment-capital group.
