MILWAUKEE, WI (LEARFIELD-WSAU) The Badgers will open their 16th straight NCAA tournament later this morning at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee.
Wisconsin, a 2 seed, will face 15 seed American University.
The Eagles are the Patriot League Champions and carry a 20 and 12 record but are predicted to struggle heavily against Wisconsin's defense.
The Badgers are 25-18 all-time in the NCAA tournament. Wisconsin will tip off against American around 11:40 this morning. UW Milwaukee is in the tournament for the first time since 2006. The Panthers are a 15 seed in the East Region and will take on number 2 seed Villanova out of the Big East tonight in Buffalo.
Villanova has the depth but they have trouble from 3 point range. The Panthers veteran lineup and man-to-man defense could be the keys to victory. UW Milwaukee and Villanova are scheduled to play at 8:25 tonight.
