MADISON, WI (WSAU) --  A Madison woman who took multiple painkillers before taking her grandchildren for a drive ended up crashing her vehicle and had to be revived with Narcan at a hospital.

Police say 43-year-old Sarah L. Johnson admitted to taking methadone, oxycodone, and gabapentin early Sunday then took the children out for a drive. Police then received a report of a crashed Nissan Rogue just before 1 PM.

Johnson was taken to the UW hospital where she became unresponsive and was given Narcan. She was able to identify her grandchildren after coming through.

Two of the children were treated and released from the hospital. The youngest has been admitted, there's no update on their condition.

The youngest child was ten months old. None of the children were in car seats, according to the police report.
