How's this for a heavy metal team-up: Tool 's Justin Chancellor , Iron Maiden 's Adrian Smith and System of a Down 's Shavo Odadjian recently held a jam session together.

According to Odadjian's Instagram , the trio joined forces during a birthday party for Smith's wife, Nathalie .

"Had the pleasure of jamming with a couple of legends last night," Odadjian wrote in a post alongside a picture of him and his metal buddies.

In another post, Odadjian shared some photos from the actual jam, which featured him on bass, Smith on guitar and Chancellor, who plays bass in Tool, on drums.

While this seems like a one-time thing, maybe 2020 will see the official debut of System of an Iron Tool? After all, 2019 was the year Tool actually released their new album and Rage Against the Machine reunited, so anything's possible.
