ANTIGO, WI (WSAU) -- An Antigo man is accused of trying to kill his girlfriend at the end of September.

WAOW TV reports Cory Brown, age 40, assaulted the woman to the point where she was unconscious on September 28th. Court documents say he punched her and strangled her during the incident.

Police found the woman with bruises down her face and neck along with severe bleeding from her temple. She told them at one point he said: "you're lucky I don't have a gun right now or I'd kill you."

A witness also contacted police saying Brown told them he was going to kill her. He now faces 22 different charges including 12 felonies. Brown will be back in court November 28th.

When confronted by Police about the incident, Brown did not comment but told officers “Let’s go,” “What are we going to do without my side the story.” “I have nothing to tell you.” “Let’s go.”
