A one-time music journalist has decided to release his self-proclaimed "Embarrassing Interview With Kurt Cobain." Former Canadian college DJ  Roberto LoRusso  interviewed the Nirvana frontman in 1991, and says Cobain was "remarkably patient and kind considering how not well prepared  I was."

LoRusso has posted the interview in its entirety on the  DeadCityBeat indie music site  and goes to great length to warn listeners, "[this is] objectively terrible by all journalistic standards, [because] my questions were poorly crafted [and] my research was incomplete and inaccurate."

However, he explains that he's been browbeaten into releasing it by friends who assure him it's a piece of music history.

In the loose and rambling Q&A, Kurt talks about his love of hip hop, but notes, "I’m a fan of rap music, but most of it is so misogynist that I can’t even deal with it....I totally respect and love it because it’s one of the only original forms of music that’s been introduced, but the white man doing rap is just like watching a white man dance. We can’t dance, we can’t rap."

Beyond Cobain's thoughts on hip hop, the interview is fascinating if for no other reason than it captures the future icon's state of mind before his massive fame: It was recorded four days before the release of  Nevermind .
