Want to see  Weezer  as a guest of the band? All you have to do is undergo brain surgery while singing one of their songs and have someone videotape the procedure.

That worked for Kira Iaconetti [yack-oh-NET-tee], a 19-year-old from Bellingham, Washington who's an aspiring musician. Iaconetti was diagnosed with a brain tumor after she started having a hard time singing along with music; her voice would lag behind or start slurring.

She  told  Seattle Children's Hospital, "It was like a light switch turned off in my brain. Suddenly, I was tone deaf, I couldn’t process the words in time with the music and I couldn’t sing."

She was quickly scheduled for something called an "awake craniotomy," where the operating doctor kept Kira conscious and touched various parts of her brain while she sang, so that the surgeon could tell which area was interfering with the teenager's musical abilities.

That's where Weezer comes in. Kira chose the band's hit "Island In The Sun" to sing during the operation, in part because it included the very appropriate line, "I can't control my brain."

The procedure was videotaped and quickly went viral. The band caught wind of it and  tweeted to Kira , "Wishing you a speedy recovery....would love for you to join us at one of the shows this spring - shoot us a DM + we’ll make it happen."

No word yet on which show she'll go to, but it's a pretty sure thing that the band will make that known.
