SHOREWOOD, WI (MetroSource-WSAU) - Some of the folks who went to Shorewood High School to talk about race and the play ‘To Kill A Mockingbird’ ended-up in a shouting match.

School leaders last night tried to talk about their decision to cancel, and then reschedule the play because it contains the “n-word” Some in the crowd shouted parents and students down, at one point a moderator tried to kick-out members of the media.

The play, which was going to be performed last week, was abruptly canceled. The school district recanted and will allow one performance Wednesday night. Only students and family will be allowed in the audience for what’s being described as a dress rehearsal. It will be closed to the public.
