MILWAUKEE, WI (Wisconsin Radio Network) - Protests greeted U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos in Milwaukee.

DeVos visited a Milwaukee voucher school Monday to promote a proposed plan aimed at expanding school choice options nationally. Outside St. Marcus Lutheran School, protesters criticized DeVos' focus on private schools, proposed cuts to public education, her defense of for-profit colleges and Trump administration policies.

Milwaukee Public Schools board President Larry Miller said the policies call into question the Trump Administration's commitment to children and families.
