Two Wisconsin men accused of child porn charges

MADISON, WI (WSAU) -- Two Wisconsin men have received federal indictments for charges related to child pronorgraphy.

Officials say Matthew Kummer of Minocqua is facing charges of possession of child pornography for having a USB device containing several images of minors engaged in sex, including at least one such image of a child under the age of 12.

Kummer, 50, faces a minimum of ten years in prison and up to 20 years. Charges stem from an investigation involving the Oneida County Sheriff's office, Wisconsin DOJ, and Minocqua and Woodruff Police Departments.

Additionally, an Eau Claire man is accused of using the KIK messenger app to transport images of child porn. Jay A. Liestman is said to have sent a link containing child porn to other users through the app.

Liestman, 48, faces between five and 20 years in prison on the charge. The FBI, Eau Claire Police Department, and Eau Claire County Sheriff's office were involved in the investigation.

KIK is a messaging app that requires little to no personal information at sign-up and is used to easily create groups and connect with family.
